Do this first

Five things that limit the damage inside

Almost all of the cost of a roof emergency lands on the inside of the house. What you do in the first hour decides how much of it you pay for.

  • ✓ Move furniture, rugs and electronics out from under the leak and get a bucket down
  • ✓ If a ceiling is bulging with trapped water, pierce it at the lowest point so it drains in a controlled way instead of collapsing
  • ✓ If water is near light fittings or outlets, switch off the power to that circuit at the panel
  • ✓ Photograph everything — inside and out, before you clean anything up. Dated photographs are what your claim rests on
  • ✓ Stay off the roof. A wet, storm-damaged roof is how people get seriously hurt

What happens next

From your call to
a permanent repair

Stop the water, assess properly in daylight, then fix it once.

1

The call

Tell us what you are seeing and where. We answer Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 9 PM on 508-510-2233.

2

Tarping

If the roof is open, covering it comes first. Everything else can be done properly once the water is stopped.

3

Daylight assessment

We go over the whole roof and the attic, photograph it and tell you what actually failed — which is often not where the water showed up inside.

4

The claim, if there is one

Sudden storm or impact damage is usually covered. We document it and meet your adjuster on the roof.

5

The repair

Priced in writing before we start. Emergency work already done is credited into the final job.

6

Clean-up

Debris leaves with us and the property is magnet-swept for nails.

Is this actually an emergency?

A slow drip can wait a day.
These cannot.

An active leak in heavy rain, an opening you can see daylight through, a limb resting on the roof, or a ceiling that is sagging and wet — those need someone out the same day. A stain that has been there a while, or a drip that only shows in a driving rain from one direction, is a repair to book properly rather than a midnight call. If you are not sure, phone and describe it; we will tell you honestly which one it is.

Emergency repair questions

What people ask when the roof is leaking

How quickly can someone get out?
For genuine emergencies in Easton and the surrounding towns we aim for the same day. Call 508-510-2233 rather than using the form — it is much faster.
Should I put a tarp up myself?
We would rather you did not. Roofs are slippery and storm-damaged decking can give way. If the roof is accessible from inside, catching the water and protecting the room below is the safer contribution.
Does homeowners insurance cover emergency roof repair?
Sudden damage from a storm or an impact usually is covered; gradual wear generally is not. Most policies also expect you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage, which is why tarping matters. See how we handle claims.
Will a tarp hold until the roof can be repaired?
A properly fastened tarp will hold through normal weather for weeks. It is a stopgap, not a repair — it buys time to do the real work in dry conditions.
What does an emergency call cost?
It depends on the size and pitch of the area to be covered. We tell you the number before we do anything, and it comes off the permanent repair if you go ahead with us.
