Are you actually local to Easton?
Yes. Our shop is at 495 Turnpike St in South Easton, and Easton is home base for us. North Easton, Eastondale and Furnace Village are all a few minutes away, so we can usually come out for an inspection quickly.
How much does a new roof cost in Easton?
It depends on the size and pitch of the roof, how many layers have to come off, and the shingle you choose, so we will not guess at it over the phone. We come out, measure, look in the attic if we need to, and give you a written, itemized estimate. The visit is free and there is no obligation.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Easton?
Yes. Re-roofing a home in Massachusetts requires a building permit from the town. We hold a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CS-118483) and pull the permit as part of the job, so you do not have to deal with it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a registered Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor (#204689), we hold a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CS-118483), and we are fully insured. We are also a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating.
My roof has moss and black streaks. Do I need a new one?
Not necessarily. The black streaks on many shaded Easton roofs are usually algae and are mostly cosmetic. Moss is different: it holds moisture against the shingles and can lift them. We will look at the roof and tell you honestly whether it needs cleaning, a repair or a replacement.
A tree limb came down on my roof. What should I do?
Call us at 508-510-2233. If there is an opening we can tarp it to stop water getting in, then photograph the damage and help you with the insurance claim. We answer Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 9 PM.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most single-family homes are stripped and re-roofed in one day. Larger or steeper roofs, or roofs with several layers to remove, can take longer, and we will tell you that up front in the estimate.
